Hi, I’m Myla.

I’m a PCI Certified Parent Educator and Coach, a former kindergarten teacher with a B.Ed. and M.Ed, a SSP Certified Provider—and I’m also a parent, raising two very different kids of my own.

One of them?
She’s what I call spicy.
Big feelings.
Strong will.
Feels the world in deep and wide ways.

She’s the kind of child who makes everything more—more beautiful, more intense, more complicated.

And honestly? Parenting her cracked everything open.

Because when I validated, she covered her ears.
When I said “hands are not for hitting.” She unravelled.
When I just needed her to cooperate, she couldn’t.

That’s when I started focusing on how to help POSK’s (Parents of Spicy Kids).

You don’t need to be perfect to feel confident in your parenting.

You just need someone who gets it—and can help you figure out what actually works for your child.

Over the past six years, I’ve helped thousands of parents move from frustration and confusion to clarity and connection.

I’ve seen what happens when a parent finally understands what’s really going on beneath the behavior—and learns how to respond in a way that works for their child’s temperament, development, and nervous system.

And I’ve seen what happens when they start to feel proud of how they show up—even in the hard moments.

That’s the heart of my work.
Not to promise perfection.
But to help you feel steady, clear, and deeply connected—no matter what your child throws your way.

Why I do this work

I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all parenting advice.

I believe parenting a spicy kid is different—and you shouldn’t have to figure it out alone.

I believe your child can be held accountable and you stay connected at the same time.

I believe in Good Fit Parenting: the right strategy, at the right time, for the child in front of you.

I believe the sweetest moments of joy often come from feeling confident in parenting.

I believe you’re already an amazing parent. And with the right support? You can feel like one, too.

What I believe

A little more about me…

- Myla

I live in BC, Canada where I mountain bike, ski, hike and do yoga.

I laugh VERY loudly, and love a good kitchen dance party.

I use all the things I share in my own home, and as my daughters approach 8&10 years old, I can confidently say,
this stuff works!

I see most parenting advice stops after “do the thing” and I help parents answer the question, “what if I do the thing, and my kid kicks me in the shin?”

If you're here because parenting feels harder than you thought it would be—especially with a spicy kid—you’re in the right place.

And I’m so glad you found your way here.
